Whiskey Class: Musical Performance

Date & Time
Tuesday, November 2, 2021, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Description

Join us for a performance with Southeast electronic duo Whisky Class, who originally met and began their collaborations in Alaska. The pair incorporate layered vocals, drum loops and ambient tones for a style that is as much electro as it is folk (with a little soul thrown in). One of their fan favourites, Thurt, launched with a music video depicting cartoon versions of the band on a psychedelic journey through Alaska landscapes. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from one of Salmon Nation’s best kept secrets (for now).

Featuring:

Born and raised in the lush coastal rainforest of Southeast Alaska, Whiskey Class is composed of Patrick Troll of Ketchikan and Liz Snyder of Juneau, now living in Seattle. Blending a folksy singer-songwriter vibe with deep layers of electronica, a here-and-there sprinkle of acoustic jazz along with some serious funky bass lines - it’s safe to say that these artists are blurring musical genres, creating something truly original. The band will be releasing a new EP this fall, with No Trends Records featuring six new original tracks full of tight grooves, layered harmonies and soul soothing vibrations.
